Success leaves clues.

There are a lot of concepts from “days of old” that are better left in the past. We have made immense social progress since our grandparents’ (and in some cases, even our parents’) generations, and we should be thankful for how far we’ve come. Though, of course, there is still much work to be done.

I do believe, however, there are certain lessons we can take from the past and some of the more ‘traditional’ old school values that made relationships work.

If we work to separate the negatives from the positives, there are important takeaways we can all benefit from if we choose to implement them in our own personal relationships.

We will discuss a few below, and I’d love to hear what you agree and disagree with in the comments.

1: Relationships grow stronger WITHOUT an audience.

Time-travel back to the 1950’s, and the term “social media” wouldn’t have made any sense.

Hell, go back to the 1990’s and people would’ve been confused.

We are facing new challenges in a new world, where every move that we make is broadcast and observed online by onlookers, almost as if we’re all the star of our own reality show.
