No matter what phase of a relationship you’re in, one of the most overlooked things I believe we’re missing these days is a real focus on compatibility.
It seems counter-intuitive, since a lack of compatibility effectively stops a relationship in its tracks, so why aren’t we putting that at the top of our list for things to look for in a partner?
It’s easy to get caught up in the allure or appeal of a new person. We focus on all of their good qualities (as we should), but, sometimes we become so enamored by the good, that we ignore or completely miss the things that, over time, will become a larger and larger challenge.
This is why, alongside the emotional rush and feelings of attraction, lust, and love — we must also remain focused on the logical and the pragmatic.
