30 Life Lessons Every Parent Should Teach Their Kid(s)
What should the leaders of tomorrow be learning today?
The decision to have children isn’t really, when you think about it, the decision to have children. In reality, it’s a decision to create adults who will someday be the world’s leaders, thinkers, decision makers, lovers, friends, and role models.
If you’re familiar with my writing and my story, you know that Rachel already had two young daughters before we met, and I became their “bonus dad” over the past few years.
You also know that my upbringing was (thankfully) a happy, healthy, and stable one. My parents have now been together for more than 4 decades and continue to live by example in life and love every single day.
This type of upbringing carries lessons with it that one accumulates over the years and, someday, hopes to pass along to future generations.
As we raise our two (for now…) here are some philosophies that I hope they learn from us through example — and that, I hope yours learn from you, as well.
