All of us grew up knowing who Arnold Schwarzenegger is. Some of us first saw him as the world’s greatest bodybuilder, others as the planet’s highest grossing action star, and others still, as the Governor of California.
Here’s the thing about these public “roles,” though — they were all achieved at the highest level because of their deep connection with Arnold’s true identity and purpose.
He wasn’t just faking it, or trying something out for the hell of it — the mission was fastened securely to his core as a human being, and he simply had no other choice but to build a life around it. He refused to do anything else, or to be pushed in any other direction.
He was driven forward by an identity he decided to create for himself.
