10 ways to avoid the “friend recession.”
It’s not a secret that it’s more difficult to make friends as an adult, and ever since the pandemic ended, things seem to have become even more dire than they were before. We did intentionally avoid each other for more than a year, after all.
This was a challenge for adults long before Covid times, though. There are some interesting (and let’s face it — disheartening) statistics that have been revealed over the years, most of which highlighted in this visual article on Vox:
This particular article highlights male friendships, but I do believe that we as a species, regardless of gender, find friend-forming to be a challenging task.
We can seek reasons as to why this might be, and study the harmful affects of what happens when it becomes a reality for us (see the above article), but in this piece, I want to discuss solutions.
